who we are

At Jerk Centre Street Food, we serve flame‑grilled Jamaican street food with a modern twist. We started doing food at fetes and festivals around Birmingham and we joined Digbeth Dining Club in 2020. With this, we now travel around the West Midlands with DDC bringing a Caribbean vibe wherever we go. We believe great food should be bold, fresh, and made with love. That’s why we hand‑blend our spices, cook everything over a live charcoal fire, and source our ingredients from trusted local suppliers.

our mission

“To honour the rich Jamaican tradition of jerk cooking by serving bold, authentic flavours made with passion, fresh ingredients, and true island spirit—bringing people together one plate at a time.”

our founder

Our founder, Adrian, grew up surrounded by the aromas and flavours of caribbean cooking. His grandparents were always cooking for family or other social events. Adrian earned pocket money by doing the prep work and helping with the cooking . This became the spark  that ignited his  passion for cooking.

His stepfather moved to England in the 1980’s. He had a jerk business in Faith’s Penn,  Jamaica and soon opened a jerk business in Birmingham. He taught Adrian everything about jerking and introduced him to new spices and flavours. They would travel around Birmingham jerking at fetes and festivals.
